ClearCorrect Invisible Braces at Your Sydney Dentist

Nothing is better than showing off a bright white, perfectly aligned smile!

But if you’re like most of us, those pearly whites don’t always grow in as straight as they should. But if you’ve waited a while to address your crooked, misaligned or gapped teeth, metal braces probably don’t sound like an ideal solution for you as a teen or adult.

Luckily for you, we have an affordable solution (called ClearCorrect), that can realign your teeth without the need for unsightly, painful and uncomfortable metal braces. ClearCorrect aligners are practically invisible, so most people won’t even know you are wearing them. They’re custom-made so they fit you perfectly and are more comfortable than traditional braces. Plus, they’re removable, so you can eat whatever you like and clean your teeth normally.

ClearCorrect braces are an alternative to both traditional braces and Invisalign.

Sound interesting? Great! Read on to learn more about how Dr. Hoffenberg and his experienced team of friendly dental care professionals can help.

A Popular Orthodontic Treatment

ClearCorrect is the modern, 21st-century approach to a straighter smile. Made from BPA-free thermoplastic, each clear aligner is created from a custom mould of your teeth, assuring the perfect treatment for your circumstances. The aligners snap into place over your teeth, gradually shifting your teeth into the desired position.

Unlike braces, ClearCorrect  aligners are removed when it’s time to eat, allowing you to continue eating your favourite foods. Simply remove the trays before eating, then brush your teeth and replace them afterwards.

Every few weeks, you will receive a new set of aligners to keep your progress on track. This eliminates the traditional practice of tightening wires to move your teeth, making the process easy and relatively painless. Each new set of trays you receive are custom made for your teeth and your needs.

Benefits of ClearCorrect

Here are a few of the benefits that come with these aligners:

  • Removable: Forget painful metal braces with wires that trap food particles. These comfortable aligners are easy to remove when eating, drinking and cleaning your teeth.
  • Invisible: Highly discreet, these aligners are almost invisible and very hard to notice.
  • Affordable: As compared to traditional braces, these aligners offer an affordable alternative.
  • Predictable results.
  • Easy Cleaning and Maintenance.

Common Questions About ClearCorrect

Are The Aligners Comfortable?
When you first start treatment, there may be a slight adjustment period during which the aligners may feel “strange” or slightly uncomfortable. But don’t worry, most patients become accustomed to their new aligners fast, and after a while, hardly even notice that they’re there at all.
How Long Does Treatment Take?

ClearCorrect aligners are kept in place 24-hours a day (except for when you’re brushing, flossing, and eating) and changed out every two to three weeks as the teeth straighten. Treatment usually takes between 10 and 24 months depending on much your teeth need to be moved or rotated. Dr. Hoffenberg can advise you on the expected treatment time.

How Much Does ClearCorrect Cost?

ClearCorrect is a lower cost alternative to Invisalign and makes it more affordable for you. Some people report that the aligners are more comfortable to wear, but only you will be able to make this determination.

Dr. Hoffenberg will be able to guide you on which is the best choice between Invisalign and ClearCorrect.

Is ClearCorrect better than traditional metal braces?

Some cases can be treated faster with ClearCorrect. We prefer clear aligners because you can take the aligners out and clean your teeth easily.

ClearCorrect Versus Invisalign – Which is Better?

Many patients opt for the transparent orthodontic treatment such as Invisalign, which has been proven for many years and a well-known brand name.

ClearCorrect has been around since 2006 and is available in many dental clinics in Sydney and across Australia.

  • Both use sets customised transparent aligners that move your teeth over time.
  • Both can both be removed whenever you desire, for example when eating or brushing / flossing your teeth.
  • Lower pricing.
Since having my braces removed, my teeth have shifted. Can ClearCorrect fix this?

We recommend that anyone who has completed orthodontic treatment, whether braces or ClearCorrect treatment, use a retainer to prevent teeth from gradually shifting back towards their initial position. Because every case is different, we will work with your unique circumstances to confirm if you need post-treatment retainers, and if they are needed for both upper and lower teeth.

Does ClearCorrect hurt?

Although ClearCorrect may make your teeth mildly sore (similar to braces), there will be very little discomfort involved. The ClearCorrect aligner trays are very comfortable, and can be taken out to eat, drink, brush, and floss.

Who is a Good Candidate for ClearCorrect Aligners?

ClearCorrect was designed with young adults and adults in mind, however, some children (such as those without molars) or senior citizens may also be candidates. Dr Hoff and his team can help provide guidance as to what the best options are for your situation.

Generally, anyone fitting the above criteria that also experiences the following may be a good candidate for clear aligners:

  • Spaces or gaps between teeth.
  • Crooked or misaligned teeth.
  • Crowded teeth.
  • Underbites.
  • Overbites.

If you’re a good candidate, ClearCorrect is a wonderful solution for aligning your teeth and closing gaps without anyone even knowing you have aligners in place. Their clear composition makes them highly discrete and much more comfortable than normal braces, not to mention typically more affordable than Invisalign as well.

What Causes Misaligned Teeth?

It doesn’t seem fair that you’ve got awkward-looking teeth being that you take great care of them, flossing and brushing on a regular basis. Well, there are many possible reasons why:

  • Tooth decay.
  • Genetic influences.
  • Physical trauma from accidents or injuries.
  • Poor habits as a child.
What ClearCorrect Options Are Available?
  • Unlimited
  • Limited 12
  • Limited 6

The Unlimited option allows patients to utilize as many aligners as they need to straighten their teeth. As teeth begin to move into position, you’ll need a new set of aligners to continue progress.

The Limited 12 option provides patients with 12 sets of aligners, while the Limited 6 provides patients with six aligners.

Dr. Hoffenberg and his team can best help you determine which option will be most appropriate for your specific situation.

What to Expect

Getting Used to Orthodontics

When you first start your treatment, it will take a little time to get used to having the aligners in your mouth on a regular basis. After a while, you won’t even notice they’re there! You’ll be wearing them for about 22 hours a day, taking them out for eating and cleaning.

New Aligners and Regular Checkups

You’ll receive a new set of aligners every two weeks. Each new set of aligners will continue your progress, bringing your teeth closer to your goal bit by bit. You may experience mild discomfort when first changing to a new set of aligners. This is normal, and most people find the discomfort eases over time.
