Get Beautifully Straight Teeth With Invisalign

When it comes to first impressions, a bright and cheerful smile can go a long way, making those around you feel welcome, and displaying an air of confidence.

Some of us, however, feel shy and self-conscious about our smiles due to imperfections like crooked teeth, wide gaps, or other alignment issues.

Perhaps you’ve considered braces in the past, but the cons of traditional braces seemed to outweigh the benefits. Not only are traditional braces unsightly, they can also cause pain, gum irritation, staining or discolouration, and even restrict you from eating some of the foods you love. As appealing as that beautifully straight smile might be, this seems like a high price to pay.

Luckily, modern advances in dentistry have finally introduced another option, Invisalign. Our doctor is ready to help you on your path to a big and confident smile with this modern and discreet approach.

Common Questions About Invisalign

Are The Aligners Comfortable?

When you first start treatment, there may be a slight adjustment period during which the aligners may feel “strange” or slightly uncomfortable. But don’t worry, most patients become accustomed to their new aligners fast, and after a while, hardly even notice that they’re there at all.

How Long Does Treatment Take?

Invisalign aligners are kept in place 24-hours a day (except for when you’re brushing, flossing, and eating) and changed out every two to three weeks as the teeth straighten. Treatment usually takes between 10 and 24 months depending on much your teeth need to be moved or rotated.

How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

The cost for Invisalign will depend on how many aligners it will take to get the job done (can be anywhere from six to forty-eight aligners). While the price can vary from dentist to dentist, you will find it ranges between $8,000 to $9,500 for a full case.

Is Invisalign better than traditional metal braces?

Some cases can be treated faster with Invisalign. We prefer Invisalign because you can take the aligners out and clean your teeth easily.

Can Invisalign make my smile wider?

Yes and this has been demonstrated by most of our clients as you can see in the gallery.

Since having my braces removed, my teeth have shifted. Can Invisalign fix this?

Yes, this is one of the most common reasons that people come see us. It is important to wear your retainer after completing your treatment but this will be a breeze compared to wearing your Invisalign aligners 22 hours a day!

What to Expect During Treatment

Receiving your trays

At your initial Invisalign appointment, our dentist will answer any questions you may have about the process. They will then examine your teeth and take x-rays, and take a mould or digital scan of your mouth, to create your custom aligners. You’ll come back in two weeks to receive your new aligners.

Regular office check-ins

Once your care plan begins, you will be scheduled for follow up visits with our dentist every two to four weeks and receive a slightly-straighter set of clear aligners. They will also check your progress with your Invisalign treatment and make changes in your care plan as needed.

Invisalign home care

In-between appointments, we’ll ask you to wear your trays for at least 22 hours each day. Trays can be left in for most activities; they must be removed for meals. We’ll also ask you to brush your teeth and your aligners between meals, in the morning, and at night.

After treatment is finished

Once your treatment is complete, you’ll receive a final set of aligners. These will be designed to keep your teeth in place for the months and years following the Invisalign process: simply wear them every night, and clean them out every morning for a winning smile for years to come!
